WildlifeDirect continues to transform and catalyse wildlife filmmaking in Africa, inspiring people to treasure and conserve nature. We are excited to announce that Season 1 of our ground–breaking television series, Wildlife Warriors, is now available on Baze, Kenya’s mobile-first, video-on-demand digital content platform. Baze is powered by Safaricom PLC, the leading communications company in Kenya.

Collaboration with the Baze platform has opened up a completely different audience for the Wildlife Warriors TV series, namely, mobile users in Kenya. There are 22 million active, one-month mobile data users in Kenya and since the official launch of Baze on May 27th, 2021, the platform has attracted up to 250,000 subscribers.

Wildlife Warriors is produced by WildlifeDirect. Our CEO, Paula Kahumbu, hosts each episode, and the show is shot and edited locally by the Nairobi-based production house, Vivid Features Ltd. Production of the series is funded by the U.S. Government through USAID, in partnership with the U.S. Department of the Interior, The Wild Lives Foundation, and National Geographic.
