Dr. Paula Kahumbu attended the 75th Annual Emmy Awards that was held on January 15th, 2024. The documentary series "Secrets of the Elephants" was nominated for the prestigious Emmy Awards in two categories: Outstanding Cinematography for a Nonfiction Program and Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series.

As we bid farewell to 2023, WildlifeDirect celebrates a year of remarkable achievements and impactful milestones. The Safari Storylab emerged triumphantly, fostering a new era of storytelling to amplify the African voices of wildlife and conservation.

WildlifeDirect, a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of Africa's wildlife, is pleased to announce the roll out of its new Nature Positive Kids Outreach Program which is an extension of the National Geographic’s Team Sayari educational entertainment Program. Team Sayari, a collaboration between the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), The Walt Disney Company Africa and Wildlife Direct, saw a 20-part television series being aired across Africa on National Geographic Wild and Disney Channel.

Following the recent announcement of title of the series, The Walt Disney Company Africa, together with its project partners, National Geographic, the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and WildlifeDirect have today revealed that the highly anticipated National Geographic Kids programme, Team Sayari, will air each Saturday on National Geographic Wild (DStv 182, Starsat 221) at 13:00 (CAT) from 24 September 2022.

WildlifeDirect yesterday launched Season two of the Wildlife Warriors television series at the Karen Blixen Coffee Gardens. The 13 part series will premiere on Kenyan television screens via Citizen TV starting this Sunday 6th February 2022 at 5.30 p.m. EAT. Season two of Wildlife Warriors is featuring more than 20 heroines and heroes.

As you plan your spring cleaning, go through your stores and look at all the stuff you’ve not used in ages, AND DO NOT NEED ANYMORE, please consider us for a donation. We are setting up a field camp for kids to give them a chance to learn outdoorsmanship, camp life, citizen science, etc. We have a lovely large mess tent and we will be putting it up this weekend in the bush just south of Nairobi. This will be the base for all our Wildlife Warrior Kids activities going forwards.
