Kenya is facing catastrophic floods that have resulted in over 200 deaths, leaving dozens of families homeless and causing the loss of property and livelihoods. Despite the severity of the situation, we are grateful to report that our staff and vast network of teachers and conservation colleagues in the region are safe.
Drought in Kenya reaches Catastrophic levels
trish2023-12-22T11:27:30+00:00The drought in Kenya has reached catastrophic levels and there are no signs of it abating. To support the national effort to raise awareness we partnered with Charlie Hamilton-James, a Nat Geo photographer to tell the stories in pictures. These photographs can be distressing so please click on this link if you want to see what we observed in the Kajiado and Amboseli region. We hope that these pictures will influence conversations at the upcoming Biodiversity conference, as well as the new Kenya government policies and regulations.
